Audiofrog’s GB10 1″ tweeter sits in your palm with the weight of a stone — there’s not one plastic part in this speaker. Cast zinc housing protects the polyester soft dome, which delivers impressive performance that’s as lush and nuanced as live sound. A copper polepiece cap helps extend frequency response and reduce distortion, making this tweeter a tough one to beat.

Such an efficient design puts the GB10 near the top of its class in the realm of power handling, with a rating of up to 100 watts RMS. Add in Audiofrog’s grueling standards for real world speaker testing, and you can trust that the GB10 will live a very long life in your car.

Built for custom installations

Audiofrog was founded by experienced installers, who know all the pitfalls and shortcuts of tweeter installation. The all-metal finish of the GB10’s removable ring and tray can be polished, painted or upholstered, depending on your vision for your interior. The grilles are ideal for painting as well.

With this tweeter’s unique metal mounting bracket, you’ll find custom fabrication of pillar and sail panel pods much easier. The bracket’s versatile straps provide for numerous installation scenarios as well. Without the mounting bracket, the GB10 will fit a standard sawhole cut. Audiofrog’s unique spring and nut design for flush-mounting allows you to dial in the speaker’s depth for the snuggest fit possible. Any way you install it, this versatile tweeter gives you the potential to gain the widest possible soundstage for total musical immersion.

Features

Durability: The GB10 tweeters are tested in temperature and humidity extremes, as well as under vibration to simulate 50,000 miles of operation in a vehicle.

Crossover: Audiofrog recommends using an active high pass crossover, no lower than 2.5 kHz with a slope no less than 12 dB/octave.

Screw Terminals: The screw terminals will accommodate up to 14-gauge speaker wire.

Grille: The tweeter grilles are removable and can be painted to match your interior. (Out of the box they’re black.)
